REFLECTIVE SERIES | YOUNG VS. OLD AGE “Children, honor and obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right: “that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth” … Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but,…doing the will of God from your heart”. Ephesians 6:2 “Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and do good to parents. If any one of them or both of them reach old age, do not say to them: (a word or expression of anger or contempt) and do not scold them, and address them with respectful words”. Surah Al Israa Q17:23 “Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old…Let your father and mother be glad; let them who bore you rejoice”. Proverbs 23:22-25 “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate”. Proverbs 31:31 PRAYER FOR (AGING) PARENTS Our Lord! Please, forgive them both and bestow your Mercy upon them for they have nurtured and brought us up from our childhood (Q17:24). #BETTERSOCIETY #REFLECTIVESERIES #STAGESOFLIFE
