Meet the Global Leaders

Prof. Susan Madsen
Susan R. Madsen, Ed.D., is the Inaugural Karen Haight Huntsman Endowed Professor of Leadership in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. She has done in-depth qualitative and quantitative research on women and leadership in various settings, including political, and has one book (Developing Leadership: Learning from the Experiences of Women Governors) and a host of related reports and chapters published on the topic. Dr. Madsen is the lead series co-editor for the women and leadership book series and founded the Women and Leadership Affinity Group in 2011. Susan also speaks globally on these topics and facilitates professional development programs for women in politics, higher education, business, nonprofits, and community organizations.

Dr. Bruno Roque Cignacco
He is a business consultant, international speaker, university lecturer and researcher. Also, Dr. Cignacco is an author and his new book is titled “The Art of Compassionate Business: Main Principles for Human-Oriented Enterprise” published by Routledge in 2019. His websites are http://www.humanorientedenterprise.com and http://www.brunocignacco.com

Tracy Tanner
She is the CEO of Kolena Corporation. Growing up in a family-owned business fetched a sense of ownership and responsibility in Tracy’s core being. It also explains that when she and her family members “wore all hats”, they learned adaptability, teamwork, and customer service. Like in her upbringing, Tracy started her career with the conscious decision to experience all sides of the technology supply chain. Beginning in retail, she jumped at the chance to go through a rigorous training that exposed her to every aspect of the business. “I felt right at home at Micro Center.” Tracy’s philosophy of being open to learning when transitioning to other companies opened the door to many opportunities. Ultimately, her experience includes working for four (4) publicly-held Fortune 100 and one (1) privately-held Fortune 100 companies, never coming without challenges. Learn not only how Tracy navigated through large corporations and life setbacks as a woman in a male-dominated industry but how she now has reinvented or pivoted into co-founding an EdTech startup.

Dr. Kafayat Kehinde Lamidi
She is the Founding Executive Director of the leading Global Self-Education Platform (GSEP). As an educationist whose role is diverse within the education sector, she is identified as E.A.S.E. This defines her as an Entrepreneurship Expert, Academic Scholar, Strategist, and Entrepreneur/Educator. She is an Author. Her latest books include “Global Corporate Entrepreneurship: Perspectives, Practices, Principles, and Politics” (Volumes 1 & 2) and “Global Business Hybridization: Perspectives, Practices, Principles, and Politics” (Volume 3). One of her co-authored articles is entitled Lamidi, Kafayat K, Mswaka, Walter and Smith, Kelly (2015). Advancing Entrepreneurship Passion and Practice: Women in Higher Education Context. International Journal of Education and Human Developments, 1 (2). pp. 23-32.
Her motto: “Be the best you can with ease, Lord’s Grace and Will”
Following the lecture/presentation/talk, the panel discussion will hold.
